PEE.

I hate waking up a full hour before my alarm goes off because I have to pee like a race horse. But the second you wake up you know you have to go NOW because what woke you up was a dream of you peeing your pants in line at the post office. This of course has ONLY ever happened in my dreams but dang it feels real when you dream it. So I of course was up very early, but did I spend my time wisely? Heck no! I spent it reading magazines in my skivvies in the dark. It amazes me how through every day things I can achieve greatness. sigh....

Do NOT lick the ice cream scoop

So as a treat for my kids for helping me soo much this last weekend on my room I got them all the goodies to make ice cream sundaes. After scooping out their ice cream with the aluminum scoop my grandmother gave me I found that there was still some chocolate ice cream inside the scoop. You can't waste ice cream its sacrileges, sooooo i liked it off! BUT my top lip got stuck to the bottom of the scoop! it pulled part of my lip off!!! OMG it hurt sooooo bad and what was even worse you could see my frozen lip parts on the scoop!!!! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

DONE!!!

Whew... LOTS of hard work for 4 days! My room is done! I am posting pictures I just took and they are horrible, but tomorrow I will take more when its light outside. I am posting some befores and afters!!! Like I said the pics are BAD! Well I have GOT to go get the boys some dinner and then its off to bed. I have to work on the REST of the house tomorrow!! I have let it go since starting this and i need to do laundry too! Yikes...No rest for the weary!

It's all gonna happen! I got my taxes today so this afternoon I am off to Target to get the cubes I want!! yeah!!! THen I will get the wood to make my desk!! soo excited!! I did take some before pics but I will be to busy to post them till i am all done. I will work on it all weekend and prolly during the week. I am so excited!! I actually got a lot pulled out of my room last night. Lots of bags with brand new scrap supplies I have never put away. lots of loose paper and stuff. Its gonna happen!!

Gone digital

I've decided to go completely digital. No more messy paper, glue or scraps to worry about. I wont have to clean my scrap room to scrap and I can keep it all in ONE place...So here is a digi layout I used with the free kit I got from Kirsti (see below) This is the first digi layout I have done that I will print out. It's 8.5 x 11 for my people we love album. Can you believe it?! I scrapped!!

See!! Ain't it fun!  you know you want to do it!!

Oh and for those of you cheering that I am going digi because you think you are getting my stuff...STOP.....I was lying....

Was visiting the fam this weekend and got a chance to take pics of my niece in her dress for a dance that night. She looks like a super model!

Itching.....

I am itching to get my scrap room done and cleaned. I don't think anyone really realizes HOW unorganized it is right now. Everyone except my friend Darla who has seen it herself. Its gonna take a lot of work and I want to get the purging done before I even get the new furniture/workspace in there. I need to get a bunch of empty boxes to do some sorting. If I can work on it here and there this week and maybe finish up that stuff this weekend then I can box up what I am keeping and sort them out how I want to organize them. That way i will know exactly what I need to put into the room. I want to get it done because I can't even begin to think about scrapping or cropping till its done. If anyone has any ingenious ideas for storage please let me know!!

Boy do I love this kiddo

He is....well its hard to describe. He is such a good kiddo. He dosn't get in trouble much and even though he has a little bit of ocd he is so wonderful. He is a wonderful helper, friend, son, grandson, and brother....most of the time brother. He has learned to minipulate Taylor pretty well. Wish he was with me right now stead of sitting in a desk at school.

lazy, spiders, ipod

what a morning! lol...nothing major happened. It actually went very well. It was a bit hard to wake up Chris this morning though. My kids have NEVER had any trouble waking up in the mornings. As a matter of fact I don't remember a time I have had to WAKE my kids up for school. they have their own internal alarm and are usually up by seven. Taylor was awake this morning before I was and came and got into bed with me and told me that he had had nightmares. The one he remembered was the spiders that were going to take over the world. poor kid. thats about the only thing that kid is a afraid of. Spiders. Guess its my fault. I hate spiders, cant stand them. If we find them in the house I usually suck them up in the vacuum instead of squishing them and then flushing. I feel bad he hates them enough to have night mares. Well anyway back to waking up Chris. He responded to my sweet kisses by farting and then rolled over and buried his head. He sat on the edge of his ladder (bunk bed) and told me he was lazy today. That was it. Just felt lazy. His eyes were all puffy like he had NO sleep and just didn't want to move. I hope he is not have a LAZY day at school. He was asleep by 8:30 last night so I know he got enough sleep. Maybe it just wasn't 'good' sleep.

Any one catch AI last night? I hate this part of the show. Where they show all the horrible people during auditions and just a few of the good ones. I usually just skim through the first few weeks American idol and really start to watch when they get to hollywood. Been watching Your the one that I want, too. The show where America picks the next Sandy and Danny for Greece. Being a person who dreamed of being on Broadway I can't NOT watch these shows. Waiting for Lost to start up again also.

I am so excited! got my taxes done yesterday and.... WOW.... am I going to get back a lot! Let me tell you, sometimes being single is worth it! There is only a couple things I really want and the rest goes into savings. I am going to get a new lens for the baby (my camera) and an ipod. My sister in law got one for Christmas and I was impressed with how well it sounds. I am thinking about getting just the nano but the one that plays movies kind of peaks my interest too. hmmmmm....owell....

Well now that i have rambled on about nothing I am off!

fun weekend

We had a great weekend. Still very cold so the kids were pretty much cooped up inside. We played games read books and I CLEANED!! We got rid of a ton of toys and clothes. So much clothes in fact that my closet looks bare!! I love that. Anything i haven't worn for at least a year was out. The boys have grown so much that I was able to clean them out quite a bit too. We had lots of togetherness this weekend and even made it to the movies on Monday. AHHHHHH there wasn't even much fighting. How you ask? I really don't know. They played so well together and only a few spats here and there. Who are you children and what have you done to my offspring?

I was called for Jury duty. I am actually kind of excited. I have never been through the process and i am not even expecting much except for some reading time in a crowded room but at least I can say I have been through it!

This week will be pretty slow. I have to get my card kits together for a card class thingy with my friend Darla and thats about it! My room is still a mess so no creating this weekend but soon! I am filing my taxes today so should have them VERY soon! LOVE technology and direct deposit!

Work has finally slowed down. Both Photography and the insurance business. At least for today. I haven't really even had time to look at blogs much less write on mine.

Have been thinking how lucky I am. Sure I work for two agents who rely on md to do EVERYTHING and yes it because very stressful and can piss me off and get me crabby but really  I am VERY lucky...My kids come to work after school to do their homework. I can get ample time off pretty much anytime I ask for it as long as nothing else is going on. I can take an extra long lunch to nap off a migraine, and I can swear, surf, email, and chat on line as long as its not busy. Dang I am FREAKING lucky.

Snowed  a bunch last night and its still coming down. No major accidents yet but the day is not over. With the snow usually comes a few bang ups because people are stupid enough not to take it a bit slower or be more careful, but also a slowwwww day because nobody comes out of their houses. I love how people drive around here. They think they can go the speed limit or higher in 8 inches of snow because they have "4 wheel drive". Yeah for them. Cept four wheel drive mostly helps you get out if your stuck not if you slide through and intersection.

Oh if you want to see something amazing go here . This KID (yes KID) makes me look like a mom who takes pics of her kids....yah AMAZING work...would love to meet him in person.

Been busy....

It's time

Its now officially a new year.  A new year for my photography, work, kids, and creating. Of course there really isn't too much creating going on because my workspace is challenging. I have had it up to my earlobes of uncontrollable mess and space. I have tried my hand at several organizational items and only two work well for me. My 14x14 cubes in my closet and my wall of product. Everything else is a problem. My shelves are all wacky and not functional and my table takes up WAY to much space in my room. Its my regular old dining table and while its great for a workspace once I am in there there is NO MORE ROOM. Its time to change all this. The first stage will be purging. Taking ALL my stuff and going through all my drawers, papers, and embellies and getting rid of what i haven't used. I have too much stuff. Then it will be to draw up a design. figure out my key needs and address them. A friend and I were talking this morning and apparently the lower plain jane cabinets at Lowe's are only about 60 bucks a piece. I can use those and the laminate counter tops to make an L shape desk that  takes up much less room in my space. and with all the cabinets for storage I might have less chaos in the rest of the room. I have the tools to do this now...(thanks mom!!) and its time I do it! I cant actually purchase the bigger items till taxes come but soon! so wish me luck.....I'm gonna need it!

Oh goodness.

Did you think i forgot about you? Did you think I left you far behind never to return? Well yes, actually i did. And it was nice! Sorry but it was. But I am back now and the holidays are over and life is as it should be. Back to work, back to stress, back to full fledged life.

I made cards. I really sat down and made them! Here is one example. Really simple but very festive...

I am going to do another set I think but not so festive. So i can make extra and save them for other occasions.

Christmas was great. Fun to be with my mother, brother and sis in law but it just wasn't the same without the boys. We finally got to have our Christmas LAST night. Love being divorced. owell. We had fun. New years was uneventful. Had a nice dinner with my dad and step mom. then back to their house for cards and sparkling cider. Then home early to keep the dog from wiggen out at the fireworks at midnight. Watched the last two episodes of the 2nd season of Dr Who that I had dvred while gone. For those of you who do not watch Dr who, poo on you.

Well back to work, as usual, the boss can't do anything without me and since I was gone for a week my desk is piled high with work that should have been done!
