CUBES!

So for a while now i have wanted some scrapping organization. They sell white cubes at Roberts and was planning on taking my WHOLE family this weekend to get the 40% off on those cubes. I wanted like six. Well Darla told me about these cubes at Fred Meyers. Img_4140_1

Their cubes are a TON cheaper then Roberts. Not only that but they have sets that are two cubes together. Less work and even less money. So I got THREE units of two and put them together yesterday. I am LOVING them! I had target cubes up but every time I took something out or put something in they would colapse. Cubes_004

I am still using some on top as you can see but the rest is all organized!!! So happy!

Got most of my circle journal done at the crop on Saturday. Here is a sneak peak. Cubes_003This is a circle journal for a inter net group (Monkey Chatter) I am on that ROCKS! Neat ladies and some wonderful talent. Still have to work on my dedication page and sign in page. Then on to my entry. I am waiting for my new camera to take the pics for my entry. My topic is "The Place where you live". So I want to go around town and take pics of my favorite places.

Crop today!

I'm a bit tired and just finished up packing for an all day crop. Have lots planned to do, just not sure if I will do it. With the amount of sleep I have NOT gotten lately it would have been nice to just hang in bed for a bit. O'well I'm excited to see scrapping buddies and have a bit of fun! Hopefully I can work on my circle journal!

Hope you all have a productive Saturday!

Fun Sunday

I hadn't been feeling very creative today. Not till I remembered I had to do Donna Downy's online class! I actually made THREE of these today! LOL......They are cute little easy books and they sure are cute! This one I made just for me to put all my favorite things in. I have been around the house taking pics of the things that make me happy. When I print them out this book will be ready and waiting for them. A little bit of journaling and they will be SCRAPPED!Dd_week_3_006

Wonderful!!!

That's pretty much the way to describe this weekend! Took the boys ice skating on Saturday. Christopher did surprisingly well, but Taylor not so great. Every time the teachers back was turned the kid plopped on his bum and tried to scoot his way off the rink. I think this happened about 5 times before they just said GO. He was very thankful. I think Chris had fun. I really do. Maybe not enough to turn pro but enough to go with mommy again. I did take a lot of pics but with the lighting they are HORRIBLE! I did get one however of the teacher (who also happens to be my step niece) hauling Taylor the magnificent back to class!Img_41191

I think I am gonna like this book! Stacy calls it the {fun} book. To put whatever we want in it! I did this!Fun_book

{play} in my fun book!

Stacy's first assignment in her class...to define PLAY....not by the dictionary but in our own words. This book is a challenge to me. A little disorganized. She even told us to start our entries on a random page. Feels strange but fun. I'm breakin the rules!! lOL Play

Didn't have a topic till now

I am sitting here at my work desk trying to come up with something witty and charming to write about. Maybe an explanation of why i scrapbook, the inspiration I am getting from Donna Downy's class at Big Picture, or maybe how proud I am of Bug writing his first sentences. No I am NOT writing about any of those. I am going to write about my reaction to a conversation i JUST had with my father. The conversation that took place JUST before I started to type this.

He handed me a letter from his banking institution. It was a letter thanking him for his many years of loyalty, and dedication. The letter was a gift a gift of family photography. A gift of ONE unattractive, stereotypical family portrait. I thought he was showing it to me as a business opportunity, an idea for future use. Good idea actually but whatever. Then he said I think I will talk to Gloria and take advantage of a free photographer. HELLO!! What the Hell am I? Chopped, fricken LIVER!! AHEMMMMMM!! How many times have I told him I would LOVE to do a photo shoot of him and Gloria! O'well.....guess he really doesn't take this seriously...I guess I will show him! Any one want a free photo shoot!!??? One just became available!!!!!!!

Am I the only one excited about this! Want to get my taxes back fast so I can get my new "professional" camera and really start going for it!

Good things happening it work. Lots of changes and a raise (major) and my own office may be in the works so keep your fingers crossed.

Happiness is a matter of choice.

Called a client this morning and believe it or not this was on his voice mail.

Happiness is a matter of choice

I completely agree. It's my choice to be happy. Depending on other people for my happiness will completely ruin it. I am happy, almost 99% of the time. I use my happiness to create, love, nurture, and BE. I have never really been depressed. Moments here and there maybe for a few days if money is tight, but not more than that. I do have a problem though, a different one. I have problems dealing with fear. Fear of no money, my children getting hurt, loosing my job, crashing my car, loosing family members. I have so much fear that I tend to hold back. Especially where my children are concerned. My children are 8 and 5 and this last summer was the first summer they were aloud to play outside with out me. While their outside the front door and windows HAVE to be open (with me usually at one of them watching their every move), and the dog has to be out with them. He barks at every stranger. They are NOT aloud in the front yard with out and adult and can not even ride their bikes on the sidewalk without me. I am completely a freak about that. I don't live in the greatest neighbor hood but not the worst either. Cars drive past my house going 40 most of the time. 2 kids have been hit on their bikes on that street. We can't get them to slow down. 4 months ago, some drugged up maniac tried to kidnap THREE people not 2 blocks from my house. All victims were able to break free from him and a couple neighbors sat on him till the cops showed up. Not something that makes me feel secure I tell you. Am I completely too far one way? Do I need to let go a little or am I justified? How do I know if I am doing the right thing for my children? Am I just too neurotic??

Life is like.....

A> A box of chocolates.

B> a bowl of cherries.

Or

C> a swirling mess of chaos, spinning ridiculously through the universe, extremely too close to the sun.

I think I choose C!!! LOL...

Neglected

Not me the blog. Its been [gasp] a week since I blogged! Just been sooo busy. Spent most of last week hanging with the kids and enjoying every minute of it. Soon as Christmas was over the kids got back to normal. Well normal for my kids anyway. Spent a lovely new years with my extended family playing games and munching. Taylor made a wonderful comment to my step sister in law at the party though. She asked if he had a good Christmas and if Santa came and he said "Yes Santa came and brought me presents, even though i was BAD!" Everyone got a laugh out of that!

I am thoroughly enjoying my first class at BIG PICTURE! Love Cathy Z anyway and its a neat class! I wont post my work here cuz it easy to lift and I don't think its fair to the site, or the people who pay...sorry guys. But if you haven't seen it or signed up go for it!!

Hope 2006 is finding you happy and healthy and raring to go!!! Cheers!!
