I am really enjoying this cartridge. I made THREE of these ice cream cone cards! This one is by far the cutest so I am only sharing this one. I am going to play more this weekend with just the different designs and not use the cards.

Cupcake Card
Last month I got the Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge with the excuse that I needed one of the images for the Cub scouts Blue and Gold banquet. I used it for that then stuck it away. While visiting my mother in law last weekend we took a quick trip to her local scrapbook store (keepsake cottage) and they had a cute card sitting on the counter. We asked how it was made and the lady said it was a cricut cartridge. I realized then I HAD that cartridge. This weekend I was determined to use it! I made this card strictly with Bazzil CS and the cartridge.....oh and a BIT of glitter. The cartridge actually has a 'card' feature and is sooo fun!!

special bday....if your my mom - quit reading and close the blog!
I HAD to share this card. This card is for my mom for her birthday. I don't usually make cards that have this much bulk but since its going in a box along with her gift I thought why not. I have fallen in love with the new prima flowers that are made with twill!! They are sooooo expensive! Last weekend I managed to make my own at my mother in laws house. The didn't turn out perfect but they are soo pretty!! I had to use them on my mom's card! I used a cream colored twill and sprayed them with two different colors of Glimmer mist. I don't remember the colors but one was a rose color and the other a light green.

4x6 challenge
This last weeks challenge on the retreat blog was to do a layout with only 4x6 photos. I actually found these photos on Saturday while I was helping my son gut his room. Took us almost ALL day but it looks soooo much better! These are photos of my youngest boy YEARS ago. That was his kitty Nanna. Nanna was a boy. We no longer have kitties because he is extremely allergic to them. Thats the gist of the journaling also. The papers I think are Cosmo Cricut, and october afternoon. They are scraps from some cards I have made. Nice to use up some scraps for a change! The MEOW is from the cricut cartridge, Graphically speaking. LOVE that cartridge!
Kqotd:
Bug: will you PLEASE fill the bath up higher than you did last night?
Mom: ok, Why?
Bug: because when I fart there are not enough bubbles!

Lucky
I don't really go all out for St. Patty's day. I didn't even wear green. No one even tried to pinch me. Bummer. This is the ONLY thing I did for St. Patty's day. I really wanted to use my heart punches and I did!
The color on this came out wierd. But ITS all green paper. The letters are white.

crappy job
i make cards. I actually make quite a bit. Really. I have an organized filing system full of them. Some are not even made by me. My problem? I don't send them out. I send out the Christmas cards, and a few birthdays. Mostly to my mom ( hi mom), to my mother in law ( Hi Lois) and to my friend and fellow scrapper/card maker friend (hi Sarah). I don't send them to anyone else. I guess I don't' think that anyone else will care. They won't "get it" I think to myself and then i put the card back into the slot it belongs in. This last week I have organized my scrap area a bit and decided to weed out some cards. I took a lot out. A lot. The ones that didn't really turn out, the ones that were so old they were falling apart. And then. I sent some out. I sent one to a great grandma for her birthday, one to my father in law, one to a niece and one to a brother in law. I just did it. So from now on dang it. I am using the cards. If I happen to know your birthday you will probably get one this year. I am sure of it. Well almost sure. Ok you MIGHT get a card.
Make a card from one of these Valarie Salmon Sketches. Send it!! Check to see if there is a bday coming up or make it an Easter card. Then get it OUT in the mail. Post your card link for me and I will randomly pick a winner for some random scrapbook treats!! Deadline Sunday at Midnight.

Chix Rock!
I have been feeling very crafty lately but not really for scrapping with photos. I want to keep all the photos I have for the retreat coming up. So I worked on this instead! All the paper and Card stock dies are October afternoon. No pictures in it yet but I will fill it with pictures of chix in my life that I love! I will add them as I get the photos!
A few of the pages.
Its Underland not Wonderland
Saturday we treated ourselves to Alice in Wonderland in 3D. FANTASTIC! Loved the cinematography and the vision. It was like I was dreaming the whole time. Well so did Alice, but thats the point isn't it?
When we left and got into the car Taylor said. "That has got to be the best movie I have ever seen". I believe he meant it. Of course the next movie with Talking animals will be his new favorite too.
The rest of the weekend was pretty laid back. Taylor worked on his Derby car.
And Chris worked on....well not really sure but he was having crafty fun.
And I was working on this!
a new scrap tote! I learned how to make this bag over at Chic'nscraps! She has a great tutorial on her blog! I have made TWO in the past week! This one is quite large. My other one is smaller. More like a purse. But they are FUN FUN FUN! Will be making them for Xmas presents this year so act all surprised if you get one k?
OK I did two and couldn't decide but finally chose the "love" card... here ya go! (Shar, yours is gorgeous!)
