Living in a house with young, stinkery boys I get lots of surprises. Some are good. Like breakfast in bed on Valentine's day, someone taking out the garbage without me asking, a quick hug. The ones I don't like are:
Bubblegum in jeans pockets
Crayons in jeans pockets
yucky pennies in my sink drain
toothpaste on the bathroom door
But this one made me laugh.....

I finally scrapped Taylor's Derby car pictures. I just picked a few random pics. The page is a pocket and it has his "most humorous car" award and journalizing inside the pocket.
When he got the award he was NOT happy. He said his car was NOT meant to me humorous. I told him that if he cut his car like a wedge of cheese with holes and all he could not expect people not to laugh.

"Why do we have to watch THIS!!!?? It has horrible graphics!"
At the retreat this spring we are doing an exchange of pages about all the attendees. We are going to make our own albums to put them in! This is my page for that exchange. Simple but I like it!
Hip young couple with fantastic colors. Hot pink and BLACK!! fun!! I did a collage of my favorites from the wedding in photo shop. It saved a lot of time and measuring at my actual desk! The design is from one of my favorite scrappers!

I hate it when the blogs I look at regularly don't update. It really bugs me. Well I guess I should practice what I preach! So I am sharing today.
Here is a layout I did of my boys and their cousin. They don't get together as much as I would like but boy do they like to be BOYS together! Thanks Danelle for having a really boy!
Chris is skiing today and me and bug are trying to find FUN things for us to do. Thinking we may hit the arcade later to "hang". lol Oh joy....
This week I really did not have the urge to scrap with pictures but wanted to craft anyway. I started this book and really like how it turned out! Its all October afternoon papers and I used wine bags for the pages. I folded them in half and used my bind it all to put them all together! It is for pictures of the chix in my life. The ones that uplift me and love me! Will add those as I get pics!
Saturday the boys and I decided it was time to get out of the house. We have had enough of winter. There was supposed to be snow but we didn't care. We drove up to a nearby town to visit Florence's chocolates. Its a cool candy store that looks like a swiss village. We got Chocolate for my grandma and had us some ice cream. Sorry the photos are so blurry. I did not take them!
Afterward we drove a little farther to grandmas! I sure love this lady. She is the perfect grandma. She used to take me camping and fed me peaches and cream! A lot of my childhood memories include her! I am so very lucky to know her and sooo very lucky my kids have had a chance to get to know their great grandma! She will be 92 this August but really does not act like it. She plays bingo, and goes to Sr. dinners all the time. My heart goes out to her though. At 91 she has lost two children before her. First my Dad and then My aunt this last november. I can not imagine how hard that is on her. I love her sooo much!
Its always a big thing when the kids grow to be as tall as grandma in our family. Its like a huge mile stone or something. Every one gages the kids on if they are as tall as grandma. Both my kids are. Taylor is slouched so you cant really see but even my 9 year old is now as tall as grandma. She's only about 4"9. IF that. But don't let that fool you! She is a TOUGH cookie. On her wedding day many many years ago, they hopped in the back her new husbands brother's truck and traveled through the dust bowl to find a better way of life from Kansas. She is smart, caring, loving and hard working. She had the biggest garden I have ever seen and even though she does not grow the veggies like she used to she still has raspberries and lots of flowers. She tends them almost everyday in the summer. She is a wonderful woman.
