Friday I played hookie from work and drove down to Salt Lake City to meet my friend Sarah, who was flying in from Seattle. We had planned a girls weekend full of shopping and scrapping and boy was it ever full of shopping, walking, picture taking, eating and scrapping of course.
Friday afternoon we headed to Heartland paper company in Bountiful and then back to our hotel close to Temple square. We set off to take pictures of the LDS temple. We got some shots on the way there.
LOTS of construction going on...every where you looked there were new buildings going up. Need a construction job...move there.
My friend Sarah!!
I was impressed with the temple. I had never been there (I am not LDS so it wasn't a priority, sorry) but it was beautiful! The weather was fantastic and we just wandered around shooting (with the camera, not a rifle)
Sarah shooting the fountain.. she is a camera girl too...
After the temple we walked to the Gateway mall! What a cool mall. We didn't spend a lot of time shopping mostly watching the weird people at the mall.
This was a highlight....giggle....
After the mall we headed to macaroni grill and had a great pasta meal...
then back to the hotel for scrapping and giggling...
Sarah was working the cricut...we had to put it in the bathroom. It was the only stable place to put it and THAT was important because I had DROPPED it earlier and had to 'fix' it.
We both had to sleep so we took precautions.....Guess who snores.....
Well that was our Friday! I will post more pics tomorrow!
Sounds like a wonderful, well deserved, fun weekend!
ReplyDeleteOMG...I'm just soooo jealous. Loved hearing from you. Can't wait to go to SLC and see the NEW store you found. Was it awesome? I did make it to Boise over the weekend, and luckily Tori told Jeff she needed me to go "shopping" with her. We went to four scrapbook stores and a store that sells handcrafted items. It was pretty fast since we had to go buy a new dryer for Tori and install it and haul off the old one, plus a soccer game and breakfast with Darin & J and the kids. But...a fun weekend none the less. Looking forward to your visit....
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures!! Looks like you two had a wonderful time!
