Rain, bad news, and fantastic news!

OK first of all it is FREAKING raining. Not just raining but FREAKING raining. GUSHING, lightning, thunder the whole works, second~ MY WATER HEATER LEAKED! A hose on the top got a small little crack and started leaking early this morning. Thank goodness I found it this morning, even though it really threw a kink in the schedule, for me and my father, because we are leaving for the weekend and what a mess would that have been coming home to. My dad had to miss a meeting to fix it. Hopefully he CAN fix it. If not we have to call a plumber to get it fixed. AND THIRD......................................................................................................................

My photos are being featured in a local parade of homes! Parade of Homes is where new builders, artisans, and designers can put thier most recent work out for people to see. Its a big deal around here. BIG! The response has been wonderful. I just took over my business cards and the designer said that I may even have to make more! omg.....she let me go through this beautiful brand new home, probably the most beautiful home I have ever seen, so I could see all the places they have used my pictures. There was a set of ladies wandering around with me and they kept commenting on how much "fun" the pictures were. It took me a while to work up the courage to tell them they were mine. Keep your fingers crossed I get some business! It was so exciting to see my work in huge form! Love how they showcased them and thrilled people really like them! It was fun to walk into the bedrooms and see small photos tucked in here and there, almost like a treasure hunt. I'm still tingling!

279 th post

Leaves_fall It actually "feels" like fall. Its windy cloudy and even some of the leaves are changing. I love this time of year. Kids get to start wearing warmer clothes, I get to start wearing warmer clothes, but have to stop wearing sandals or crocks. LOVE wearing my crocks. So dang comfortable.

Excited about so many things! Excited that the retreat is really going to happen and having fun getting stuff ready! Everyone is going to get a survivor kit and even some giveaways! I am already getting the menu figured out!

Also excited to head to Boise this weekend! Hanging with my friend and mom, shopping for scrap stuff and just have fun! Nice to take a little trip just for fun once in awhile!

Hope YOU are excited about something....are you?

Smiling

it feels good. I passed a lady in my car today who looked like she hadn't smiled in her entire life. Her faced was all pinched up and the look in her eyes was scary. She was probably 80 years old and every day of her life was shown on her face. Do you think she had the hardest life? A husband who beat her, children who manipulated her, neighbors that egged her house, dogs that crapped on her lawn, or do you think that through her whole life she felt as though she had nothing to smile about. That she was just mean and nasty and now it shows? Good thing I can't help but smile, I don't want to look like a sour old grape when I am 80.

Had another on line class with Kim Archer last night! LOVED the layout. I think its my favorite layout she has put together for us. Totally enjoyed myself and even got done early enough to head bed before ten! Thanks Kim for another fantastic class!

In remembrance

Please take a moment to remember all those who perished 5 years ago today and those who have perished since due to the actions of that day.

Lynard, Skynard and a skunk

concert was great. Weather was perfect, no mosquitoes to infect the groupies. All around good night at the fair. Course on the way home I drove passed a FRESHLY squished skunk. So fresh that my car smells like I actually hit it. Dad washed, then washed it again. ewwww. almost had to pull over and puke before I made it home.

B000fimg6801 Been watching the second season of lost. It came out on dvd, and I am enjoying it throughly. Lots of people told me the second season was not as good as the first and I don't agree at all. Can't wait till the third season starts in October. Glad I have DVR. lol......

Going to a friends house tonight to say goodbye to her son. He is moving to Florida in the morning and I think its a good thing. He has been a hard one to raise. Hope it all works out.

Taylor has a game bright and early tomorrow then its off to the library and the then to the mall to pay my sears card and pick up my friend Stephanie's bday gift. Hope she likes it!
