Day 2 in slc

We woke up early (ok I woke up early) got ready, thank goodness Sarah woke up then or she would have been left in the hotel room all by her lonesome!

We headed to Orem to go to Archivers ( my first time, yes I was an archivers virgin) then some strolling in the mall then to Pebbles in my pocketjust around the corner. Now this has NOT been my first visit to Pebbles. It has however been my first visit since the changed the store around and took out HALF their inventory. I was NOT impressed. However a sweet lady there told us how to get to a GREAT store in Sandy not too far away. It's called Heartfelt Creations(right up my alley) and it was wonderful! Really liked that store and recommend it to anyone! Then it was off to Paper Creations in S Salt lake. REALLY LOVE that store!

After that we headed back to the hotel and to eat at BENIHANA'S!!! I have never been to a place like that before! They make the food right there in front of you and do tricks and everything! We met interesting people and even a group of fun women from Boise! Loved going there and having that experience!

Then we took a walk downtown with our cameras. We were heading back to the temple to get some night shots. It is so beautiful at night!

So fun!

Friday I played hookie from work and drove down to Salt Lake City to meet my friend Sarah, who was flying in from Seattle. We had planned a girls weekend full of shopping and scrapping and boy was it ever full of shopping, walking, picture taking, eating and scrapping of course.

Friday afternoon we headed to Heartland paper company in Bountiful and then back to our hotel close to Temple square. We set off to take pictures of the LDS temple. We got some shots on the way there.

LOTS of construction going on...every where you looked there were new buildings going up. Need a construction job...move there.

I was impressed with the temple. I had never been there (I am not LDS so it wasn't a priority, sorry) but it was beautiful! The weather was fantastic and we just wandered around shooting (with the camera, not a rifle)

After the temple we walked to the Gateway mall! What a cool mall. We didn't spend a lot of time shopping mostly watching the weird people at the mall.

This was a highlight....giggle....

After the mall we headed to macaroni grill and had a great pasta meal...

then back to the hotel for scrapping and giggling...

Sarah was working the cricut...we had to put it in the bathroom. It was the only stable place to put it and THAT was important because I had DROPPED it earlier and had to 'fix' it.

We both had to sleep so we took precautions.....Guess who snores.....

Well that was our Friday! I will post more pics tomorrow!

didn't mean to leave you hanging!

Do you ever see those movies or little films they used to show on Sesame St. that showed a building being built double time or triple time. Sped up to catch the action, in a little bit of time? That's what my life has felt like lately. ugh..

Anyway,

I did get a new car. NO, I have not taken pictures yet. Its a 2005 Toyota Camry and I LOVE it!

Work has been busy. We hired a new lady, so that will pick up the slack. Hopefully.

I am off for a fun weekend in Salt lake city!!

toodles!

oh my

ok so yesterday was a CRAPPY day

someone turned off our phone system (contractor working for landlord)

We had quest out, he just turned on the flippen box (we had no clue) but while he was here our office door blew open and hit the brick wall. it shattered.

But our phones were working....

But not our fax machine. had to call our fax guy, it was NOT the machine it was the phone line.

Called the guys who work on the phone system (not quest) and they just left...the fax is now working

it will have cost us about 300 bucks....total because the guy accidently turned it off.

NOW my car is giving me trouble. the locks are not working!!!! they were all funky for while but now I can't even turn the key manually!! My dad had it looked at a while back at Steve's repair and it was going to cost between 300 to 500 bucks to fix. So we decided aw no biggie we will just unlock our doors the old fashioned way! HA that dosn't even work half the time. Had to drive the jeep to work because I could not unlock the car doors. Thank goodness that was still in my driveway. My transmission is going too. It clunks so bad when I change the gears!!! Fords taurus's are notorious for that....

I am going to start looking for cars I can pay cash for....

if anything ELSE goes wrong I will bury myself under the snow...cuz that is one thing I can find in abundance....

The baby cometh

I just found out my SIL is in labor!! She could have a beautiful baby girl today. YES it will be beautiful because this sister in law has had beautiful (and i do mean beautiful) babies in the past. She is too far for me to run and take pics of the birth (i know bummer huh) but I plan on getting down there as soon as I can for some new born photos!!! Good Luck Danelle!!! love ya bunches.....

so on to other news...(how am i supposed to top that?)

Here is a layout I did as a challenge at the pajama crop last weekend. My challenge to everyone was to ONLY use card stock. The could NOT use pp or embelies, BUT they could do whatever they wanted to the card stock. Here was the layout I did for the example.
