just a piece of pizza....

Thats all it was. Just a piece of pizza shared with a friend at lunch. And to be honest it was even the pizza. It was the friend. The friend that believe it or not helped me just by being her and getting me away from work and moving for just an hour. To make me feel better and understand that everything is going to be all right. I will get moved (with her help, and my brother and sil) and get my new house soon. So glad I have a friend like that....thanks babe!

back to the grindstone

Well here I am back at work.

Packed most of my kitchen this weekend. Just kept out food for the near future. Still have a lot to do and need more boxes too! the pod I was going to get is too small. gotta figure out something else I think. Gotta do it NOW. PLUS i am still working on the permit. They needed a site plan on 'big' paper. lordy. gonna work on that here at work if I can. If I don't get the permit done this week then it screws up all other plans.

My doggie will have to go visit Aunty Jen and uncle mike for awhile. He wont handle the no fence, being chained up in the yard while I am not even there at ALL. Poor guy.

Headed to dinner tonight for my bday. My choice. Not at all sure where to go. Maybe olive garden?

Still looking ahead to the big picture. This too shall pass.

Last day...

I am sorry to go, I have been having so much fun. But I need to get home and finish packing my house. We went to Port Townsend yesterday and had so much fun combing the beach for beach glass and shells. Then for ice cream and a stroll down town and shopping. Didn't do much buying but it was still fun to see all the old buildings. Port Townsend has a lot of history and its a fun place to visit. We drove around looking at some of the painted ladies. Here are some shots...

Today we relaxed a bit then headed to the beach not far from my mom's house for some shell searching and of course picture taking...

forcing myself to take five to update you all on my life!

June is already upon us! HOW did that happen? Where did April and May go? Did I have any fun? get anything accomplished. Not as much as I hoped but today (finally) I signed all the final paper work for the house!!! I need to get a permit and we will get started the first week in July!! I am leaving for vaca Thursday so the permit wont get applied for till I get back so as soon as that goes through we are good to go! SOOO excited! can you tell? Its been a long process and I have learned so very much. I am so proud of myself for doing this all on my own and having the guts to do all that needs to be done!

Heading to Seattle this weekend, going to be visiting my BFF. She has been in my life for EVER...Over 21 years. We met the summer between my first and second grade. She lived in the same apartments as my father and we became pretty tight. We have never gone to the same school or even lived in the same city at most times, but we are still good friends and I LOVE visiting her! OH did I mention she is a scrapper too and thats a big plus in my book! We are going to the Woodland Park Zoo and my kids are excited as all get out! Sunday my mother is going to pick us up from the ferry and we head to Olympic peninsula where she lives. We plan to do some sight seeing, beach combing (LOVE sea glass) and some relaxing and catching up. She hasn't seen the boys since summer of 05 so I think she is ready. I saw her this last Christmas but the boys didn't come because they were at their fathers. they have grown so much I think she will be surprised!

I am also hoping to see a friend of mine that I met a while back from the creating keepsakes message board. She is so fun and I love being around her so hopefully we can make it happen! She lives in the same town as my mother and her addiction to scrapping is about where mine is! Amazing...lol...Love ya Donna!!
