I got this email today!!!

And to think, if i hadn't had that vivid dream I wouldn't have thought to run my reports and this would never had happened. Well  it might have but not for while!!

if any of you single women out there think that you can't do this stop right now and figure out how you can. It may take you a few years to fix credit, save money, and plan but it is sooo very worth it!!

A few weekends ago I woke up from a very vivid dream. I dreamed me and my children were moving into our new home. It was sooo real that when I woke up I felt I needed to start packing. A few days later, still thinking of the dream, i decided to get my entitled free credit reports. If you have never done this and are wondering if its worth it, it is. You can not only find out how well/bad you are doing but you can find things that are wrong and fix them before it gets out of hand. You are only aloud one running of each company a year. When i ran mine I couldn't believe how good it was!! shocked and amazed. So that got me thinking. Can i use my land (paid off) as collateral to get a loan for a used manufactured home? I talked to a friend of a friend who is a relater and she gave me some very good advice about manufactured homes and loans. What it boiled down to was 'good luck getting financing on a house you have to move and is used'. So she refereed me to a loan officer that I had already done business with through the office and I gave him a call. He knew exactly who I was and what I wanted. He gave me some good advice and talked with me a great lengths about all my options. He sent me to a place here in town that sells champions. I took a look a few days later and actually found one i REALLY liked. Wasn't so sure so took a week looking around at other places. Some of the other homes were no match on quality and warranties. I found a  house I really liked someplace else but not as much as this other one. As a bargaining chip i went back to the original place and talked them down a bit and even asked for the counter top to be extend like in the kitchen of the other house I liked. They went down in total price about 5000. much better. the next day I emailed my lender and he sent me the papers to fill out. Got those to him this last Wednesday, faxed more yesterday and here we are today with the above email!!!

Here is how it all started. Well it actually has been a dream for a while to move a new home on my property. I have looked off and on at new manufactured homes for the last three years. Some with friends, some with family and other times on my own. Just dreaming. Knowing it would be a long time before I could do anything like that. I came out of the divorce OK but with really bad bills that led to no paying that led to bad credit. Ever thing has been paid off its been 7 years since the divorse and I have done very well building my credit.

isn't it wonderful!!??? I am going to be getting a new home!! A real home!! A home I can call HOME!!! I am so excited!! Thanks to all who prayed along with me the last few weeks and thanks to God for all the blessings he has bestowed on me and my family! This whole process was sooo easy ans smooth!!

Nacho Libre

and other things....

So I get an email today from Netflix. I love netflix. We can watch movies and send them back when we feel like it! So someone must have figured out my password. I am guessing its my genius 6 year old. We are receiving in the mail from netflix within a few days this:

and chip and dale rescue rangers (better than the others)

Whats funny about this is when I noticed movies in the email that I NEVER put on my cue I had to go check out the WHOLE que. There were FIFTY movies in there!! mostly sponge bob, animaniacs and teenage mutant ninga turtles. I am SO changing my password!!

Oh and in other news......my lender needed a few more pieces of paperwork but I should have a LOAN by Monday!!!!!!

Or the application I guess I should say. Plus all the statements w2s etc. they wanted. All there is to do now is wait and see. I want this so bad, so very bad. NEED this so very bad. I still am feeling like how is it possible I can even expect to do something like this? To be the type of mom who could do this for her family all on her own? I'm just a kid. Right? No I am old...I am finally as old as I have felt since I was 19. I am 30. Its about darn time I do this for me and my children. I feel good about it. Usually I get a sick feeling in my tummy if its not the right decision, but I don't on this at all. Apprehension and hope but not a yucky feeling in the pit of my stomach. So glad of that. I think if I don't get the loan I will be crushed. I keep telling myself that there are soo many people I know with bad credit who buy homes!! If they can do it why cant I? I who have no debt to income ratio, who has worked for 3 years to build my credit, who has frittered away money for closing costs, and permits? Do I deserve for someone/someplace to give me money to buy a home? A home I would be proud to own and proud to have people visit.A home that will give me joy for years to come. And a sense of accomplishment, for working hard for what I get, but still giving thanks to the one who gives it to me. I don't think I have ever wanted anything more in my life. Besides my children. I have been dreaming, planning and landscaping this house! LOL. Maybe I should stop doing this because it could be cause for and even greater let down. A greater feeling of loss. If I do get it your all invited to the housewarming!! lol Do they even have those anymore? I have never even been to one. Wanna come warm up my house? lol....thanks for listening and if you believe in this sort of thing can you please say some extra prayers for me in the next couple days? PLEASE?

Its almost the exact color even! I have to get the loan papers filled out and some other stuff to the mortgage company and hopefully will know soon if my dream is going to come true! Keep your fingers crossed.

This is the inside floor plan. They are going to extend the bar counter out another two more feet for more counter top and the house actually has the fridge on the OTHER side of the pantry. So where they are showing the fridge in this plan is wrong. It is just a long counter there instead. The colors in the house are great! They are a light taupe color with chocolate brown accent walls here and there. The linoleum in the kitchen and bath is a slate color. It has the optional bath in it with the garden tub!! All the cabinets are Solid oak and the faucets are a brushed nickel. They are molen! All the counters are finished off with tile on the edges and the pantry is great! So excited to actually have a place to put my food instead of on top of my fridge. There is a cute wood shelf above the fridge instead of cabinets ( i never put anything in there anyway) for plants or knick knacks. a HUGE utility room with plenty of room for a freezer!! yeah!! LARGE walk in closet for me!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! To see the whole floor plan click on the picture!!

It might happen!!

I have found it the house I really want. And they are even making a few changes to make me happy. They have come down in price and even waved a few fees so the over all cost is lower!! My loan officer is emailing me papers to start filling out!! I am so excited but so worried! keep your fingers crossed!!

I have been absent. had so much on my mind and this blog was/is pushed waayyyy back! I am trying to buy house. Big step, but really hoping it happens. Keep your fingers crossed and some prayers on your lips for me!

Love my new phone!!!

Ok so I finally got a new phone. I went in to Alltel to see if they had to the new lg's yet. Nope, sorry we aren't going to launch those for another ten days. Bummer...he let me look at his though and I hated it!! So he showed me this samsung and i am soo thrilled! its a bit smaller than my old phone but has the same size screen and WAY more features! Right now I am converting all my favorite cd's and songs to mp3 to put on it! Got a ton on it already!! I am so happy about the player! For a while now I have thought about getting an i pod nano, but didn't want to pay for it. Well now I don't!! I can put my songs on my phone!! I can play them on the plain, scrapping and cleaning house! yippee!! I have such a wide variety of music I love from classical to jazz, to rat pac to broadway that i can have a bit of everything!!

So in light of the fact that I am so very happy with my new phone I am going to have a giveaway!! For the first person who can name a song on my playlist I will send them an envie full of yummy scrapping goodies!!!

Birthday book

I was asked to do a page for the boy's great grandmother on their fathers side for her 85th bday and i was so thrilled! We love her so much and she is so terrific! Here is the double page layout I did. They are 8x8. I just go the large flower stamp from Stampin UP! and I LOVE it. I will be using this baby a lot!! Pretty simple but its so cute! well at least I think it is!

I love scrapping...did i ever tell you that? I love the way i can cut paper, glue, paint, sand all on one page! The fact that I can finish a project and love it when its done? Well I do! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I know most non scrappers just don't 'get' it, but I don't care.

I had about 20 minutes to myself after work today while dinner was in the oven so i threw this together!

Urban lily paper, foofala buttons, and even a punched out flower with paint! Easy quick and now I feel all relaxed and ready for the rest of week!

After dinner we went outside (68 degrees) and played a bit in the sun. It was great picture taking sun so of COURSE i had to get my camera out!

Never had a chance really but I tried out anyway. I only made one thing just for the contest. A canvas for my scrap room. Always wanted to try one so out it came and I love it! Its hanging on my wall!

Fun day...

Finally after the shock of my broken phone wore off, I was able to enjoy myself today. We had a big Bday bash for my fathers fiance and boy did we have fun!! Lots of chicken, salad and my aunt Dorothy's famous cake. The best chocolate cake in the world. We had family, friends and even a guest dog! Here are some snaps!

I took all the pictures with my new 50 mm and I am completely in love..head over heals. If you have been thinking of getting a new lens go for this one. Totally worth the money! Totally...here is one of my dad's cat with the lens on the lowest ap (1.4) in very low overhead indoor lighting!

such a horrible day

My Friday shouldn't be this hard. its should be filled with birds chirping and daffodils and light music playing in the background. My mind should be ecstatic with the thought of a fun weekend ahead of me. Instead I am sick to my stomach with the horrible realization that my cell phone is broken. my wonderful fun practically brand new razor is in fact dead, broken, unresusitatable (yes I made that up). It is however fantastically clean. Cleaner than the day I got it. Inside and out actually. Purex mountain breeze is the way to go when you want to wash your cell phones. of course when you don't WANT to wash your cell phones is disastrous. Check your pockets people BEFORE you wash your pants people. I opened it all up, took the battery out and let it dry overnight. Nothing, Nada, zip. I am going to let it air out more and if it doesn't work by Monday I am going to have to go get a new phone. You may be saying to your self "she doesn't seem this upset about this", and i can see why you might think that, but you are wrong. I used up my profane vocabulary last night. Even made myself so upset that I blew chunks. So yes I am upset but at this point there is nothing else I can do. The only consolation I have is that this go around with new phones, I bought them. Me and my father have a plan together and he usually buys them, but I did this time. He pays the bills and i bought the phones. So at least he can't be mad I ruined HIS 200.00 phone. His phone is just fine. The one I gave him. yeah it works. And before you comment about how i can just turn this in on the insurance i so thoughtfully bought, STOP! As I mentioned before my father pays the bills, he didn't spring for the 8 dollar a month for insurance. Yeah for him...boo for me. so I will be purchasing a new phone if this one doesn't work. So pray that it works. Pray that even though i have the money for a new phone that I don't have to buy one.

So I am off for a day of work and stress and misery...peace out.

New baby and two more layouts

I finally got my new baby!! My new 50 mm fixed lens!! I haven't had too much time to try it out but loving it so far!!

 

Isn't that just adorable! I can't wait to actually use this lens in good lighting conditions and fun subjects!!

I have been meaning to scan and post these layouts since Monday but just haven't taken the time. I did these two while scrapping at my mother in laws this weekend!

Tomorrow is Friday and I very excited about that. My dad's fiance's bday is tomorrow so on Saturday we have family coming for a dinner and cake. Hope to take some pics with my new lens!! And of my sister in law JEN! yeah i said YOU babe!!

Been remiss, but doing good!

Have had a sick little one last week and then took a weekend break to visit my ex mother in law and scrap and shop all weekend! Had a blast, ate way to much junk food, stayed up till WAY too late (4 am) and got home this afternoon and had to laundry and unpacking. Here are a few layouts from my weekend!

The first layout is one I did about the Fall retreat I did last november. We had sooo much fun! Paper is cosmo cricket and so is the chipboard shapes. The second layout is one of me with cosmo cricket also. The third is about a trip to the Harvest Fest.
